Welcome to Mrs. Gomez's Guitar Class at Chattahoochee High School!  Congratulations for finding my blog!
Your assignment for tomorrow is to 
1.  Fill out the information form on the homepage of this website and click "Submit".
2.  Memorize the names of the guitar strings from thickest to thinnest:  E A D G B E
3.  Brag to everyone that you are now taking a guitar class, and will hence be the next TEEN IDOL ROCKSTAR!!!

Here are some few Frequently Asked Questions...
Q.  How do I get a guitar?  
A.  The school has some for you to use, while supplies last, but I won't let you take one home.   It's best for you to get your own.  I will keep your guitar safe and locked up while you are not in guitar class.  You'll learn about which guitar is right for you in the first few classes.

Q.  Is there a lot of homework in this class?
A.  Not written work, but you will need to spend some time practicing.  There are worksheets, written quizzes, and exams.  But the bulk of our time will be spent playing guitar.

Q.  Will we learn how to read music or play by ear?
A.  Both!  You will learn the fundamentals of music and we will play gorgeous classical music, but you will also learn chords and strumming, so you can play songs you enjoy, ie bands like One Direction and Fun.
